How to ensure the operating safety of pneumatic hoists?

Created on Today
As the core equipment for lifting heavy objects in industrial production, the pneumatic hoist's operation safety is directly related to personnel lives, equipment integrity and production order. To ensure the safety of pneumatic hoist operations, it is necessary to build a full-process system of "prevention beforehand, management and control during the incident, and disposal afterward". Through multiple measures such as standardizing operating procedures, strengthening equipment maintenance, and optimizing the operating environment, we can avoid risks such as falls and collisions during the hoisting process and ensure safe operation.
Inspection before operation is the basic prerequisite for safety assurance. It is necessary to strictly check the status of the equipment and check key components such as hooks, chains, and brakes to ensure that the hook anti-detachment device is intact, the chain is not worn, deformed, or broken, and the brakes are sensitive and reliable. At the same time, check the pneumatic system to confirm that the air pipe is firmly connected and there is no air leakage. The air pressure is adjusted to the specified range of the equipment to avoid excessive high or low pressure affecting operational stability. Before the operation, it is necessary to clean the operation area, remove obstacles, demarcate the lifting safety warning area, prohibit irrelevant personnel from entering, and ensure sufficient lifting space and clear vision.
Standardized operating procedures are the core guarantee for safe operations. Operators need to follow the principle of "steady rise, steady fall, and slow operation". Before lifting, perform a test hoisting. Lift the heavy object 10-20 centimeters off the ground and then stop for inspection to confirm that the equipment is under normal stress and the weight is balanced before continuing to lift. Overloading operations are strictly prohibited during the lifting process. The rated load of the equipment must be clearly defined, and overloaded lifting or diagonal lifting is prohibited to avoid chain breakage caused by uneven stress. When moving heavy objects, it is necessary to move at a steady and constant speed, avoid sudden stops, sharp turns, or rapid lifting, and prevent heavy objects from swinging and colliding; if the operation needs to be suspended during the hoisting process, the heavy objects must be placed securely and not hover in the air.
